CRASR Summer Outreach

August 13, 2024
STEMfest Region 12 Malcolm with Children

CRASR had a busy summer hosting and collaborating in many outreach activities.  Thanks to all our partners and participants, especially Master Naturalist and other volunteers- we couldn’t do it without you!  CRASR has been a host institution for Project WET, Water Education Today, for over a decade.

STEMfest at the Mayborn 2024

CRASR participated in the annual STEMfest organized by Education Service Center Region 12 on Saturday July 20th.   Held at the Mayborn Museum, this year’s theme was “Where Water Flows, Inspiration Grows” so we were all in!  CRASR activities taught people about the Urban Water Cycle, the river creatures (benthic macroinvertebrates and plankton) that call the Brazos River behind the museum home, and native fish.
